Job Title: Children & Youth Ministries Director
Location: Blaine, MN (onsite)
Schedule: Flexible 30-hour workweek
Reports To: Pastor of Chain of Lakes Church

This role includes Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings during the school year, along with additional weekday hours for planning, meetings, volunteer coordination, and communication with families.
Performance reviews will take place after the first 90 days and annually thereafter.
Key Responsibilities
Ministry Leadership & Program Development
In partnership with church staff and volunteers, the Children & Youth Ministries Director will:
Develop, promote, and enhance existing ministries for children and youth
Select and coordinate curriculum for Sunday, midweek, and summer programming
Create meaningful experiences that support spiritual growth and relationship building
Volunteer Leadership
Recruit, train, and support volunteers serving in children and youth ministries
Collaborate with the part-time Nursery Coordinator and nursery volunteers
Foster a supportive, well-organized volunteer culture
Communication & Family Engagement
Provide clear and timely communication to families and the congregation
Help families stay connected and engaged in children and youth programs
Ensure volunteers follow all church policies related to safety and security
Community Outreach
Coordinate family-focused community events such as the Easter Egg Hunt and Trunk-or-Treat
Develop outreach strategies to connect with children and youth in the surrounding community

Strong organizational and volunteer leadership skills

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education, religion, theology, or a related field preferred
Equivalent ministry experience will be considered
Candidates actively pursuing a degree are encouraged to apply
Additional requirements include:
Knowledge of or experience with Reformed or Protestant ministry traditions
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Familiarity with social media and mobile communication tools
Valid driver’s license
Approved background check
